A Schreiber S13 (5013) short reach bassoon for sale in fantastic condition. This bassoon has short reach keys ideal for the smaller hands of children and smaller adults. These instruments rarely come up for sale second hand and are in high demand.

Schreiber S13 bassoons are fully short reach instruments, with most of the keys modified or lengthened to make them easier to reach. It is designed for comfort and ease of use, combined with a warm sound and good intonation.

This bassoon features:

• A free blowing and warm sound
• Good intonation
• Short reach keys for the smaller hands of children and smaller adults
• 4 rollers
• High D key
• Closed ring key on the wing joint (short reach key)
• Longer A, C# and whisper key touchpiece  
• High mounted C# and Eb touchpiece on the long joint
• Silver-plated mechanism in very good condition
• Bassoon body of well-seasoned Alpine maple, with attractive figuration distinctive of some maple woods

• Original Schreiber case in very good condition

This bassoon has received a full service and is sold here in outstanding playing condition. Pads, corks and felts replaced as necessary, all keys and the wood have been hand polished and oiled. Keywork has been adjusted and tightened and much more, ready for its new owner in great condition.
