We are always delighted when a really nice Schreiber Professional model bassoon comes along, thanks to their lovely playing characteristics and strong build quality.

The Professional Model has long been one of Schreiber's top level models, with some nice extras like the right hand thumb rollers and most of all the lovely even tone, making it a great choice for anyone looking to upgrade to something really dependable. 

This bassoon features:

• A silky, smooth evenness of tone and a lively roundness to the sound
• Very good intonation
• Varnish in very good condition
• Nickel plating in good condition
• High quality extras such as metal tenon rings for added strength
• An excellent level of keywork including high D key, left hand thumb whisper key lock, nine rollers including four for the right hand thumb, three trills E-F#-C#-Eb, alternate keys including F#-Bb-Ab
• Well-matched KER number 2 crook 
• Tutti Fagotti case in good condition

This bassoon was fully overhauled by us in 2022, including all new pads, new corks and felts, complete disassembly of all keys, clean, keywork oil and adjustments, professional set up and much more. We have given it another service now, so is in outstanding playing condition.
