For sale, a very late 9000 series Heckel bassoon (997X) from 1956. This is an instrument of outstanding balance and tonal flexibility from a golden era of Heckel bassoons. This is a world class bassoon.

It is an ideal professional instrument with silver finger hole liners extending into the bore, elegant original striped varnish, high E key, extra rollers, whisper key lock.

The condition of this bassoon is excellent. The bassoon has undergone a full service, including all new corks and felts, full professional set up, clean and re-oil of the bore and keywork pivots. 

This is an extraordinarily good bassoon, with a silky smooth, round sound. The scale is even and in tune. This instrument has a voice that projects beautifully.

Owing to the value of this instrument we are not able to send it out by courier, so it will need to be tried at our premises prior to taking it for a trial if required. A borrower will also need to insure it prior to leaving our premises.
