Heckel 6000

For sale, a beautiful 6000 series Heckel bassoon in outstanding playing condition. It has been restored prior to coming to us so is in fully modernised condition. It has an incredibly free, chocolatey Heckel sound that sings out. Keywork up to high E and very free in the high register too. Great projection. This is a very well balanced Heckel ready for professional playing.

Heckel 6000 series bassoons are highly regarded for their free sound, great projection and beautiful, resonant tonal qualities.

The current owner has taken care to maintain the bassoon regularly and to a high standard, so the bassoon is in excellent condition throughout. We have also fully serviced the bassoon prior to sale, making this a comfortable and reliable bassoon to play on.

This bassoon was made in 1925 according to the Heckel book serial number list. It is one of the best sounding and equipped Heckels you will find anywhere.

• Amazing sounding pre-war Heckel crook number 2 length in great condition. These pre-war crooks are famous and this is a really good one

This bassoon has had a full service and is in outstanding playing condition. 

Owing to the value of this instrument we are not able to send it out by courier, so it will need to be tried at our premises prior to taking it for a trial if required. A borrower will also need to insure it prior to leaving our premises.
