A Heckel 7000 series bassoon for sale in outstandingly good condition. This is a fine example of this sought after series of Heckel bassoon, with even intonation, a rich, warm sound, and effortless projection.
It was fully restored by Maarten Vonk in the Netherlands a few years ago and we have given it a further service by our in-house bassoon specialists. The playing condition is very good.
This bassoon has fully modernised keywork and has been played professionally by its current owner. It is made of rosewood which has some very beautiful resonance characteristics. The high register is particularly free and pure sounding, and the lower registers have great projection and dynamic range. It is a rich, round sound that projects effortlessly and is gorgeous in tone.
